Immersive Developer

This is a mid-to-senior 3D interactive development and design position on Paradowski’s Immersive Technology Team, specifically focused on virtual and augmented reality on a variety of devices and platforms. The ideal candidate will be a skilled 3D programmer, specifically within the Unity-to-native app (C#) and/or the WebGL/three.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) pipelines. We understand that not everything can be known in these wide and deep fields, but the right candidate is willing to and can learn new things quickly and has a desire to keep up with current trends and technologies. 

We are looking for creative thinkers who want to help lead immersive, spatial technology forward. We are a close-knit team with the desire to learn and teach new things. We have a clear set of values within a constantly evolving landscape 

Responsibilities

Create amazing, industry-leading custom immersive digital experiences for mobile, desktop, VR, AR and the web

Collaborate with the creative and accounts teams to concept and design interactive experiences across devices and platforms (Android, iOS, Oculus, PC, Mac)

Implement and enhance user experience in 3D and interactive apps

Mentor and train junior immersive team members, reviewing code and development best practices as needed

Playtesting and troubleshooting bugs and problems with existing and new projects

Explore and present on new technologies in and outside of the immersive development sphere

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience or relevant software development work history

Excellent knowledge of Unity (C#) and/or WebGL/three.js interactive development, and general object-oriented and web programming fundamentals

Experience with Unity’s ARFoundation SDK for ARKit and ARCore

Familiarity with Unity’s Oculus SDK and hardware

Experience with the modern web development ecosystem including vanilla javascript and its many frameworks and libraries, especially npm/node

Understanding of git version control and collaborative coding

Comfortable with the command line and common developer command-line tools

Strong eye for design consistency and ability to convert designs into functional templates and modules

Detail-oriented development and QA, with strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to excel working independently, unsupervised or with minimal guidance in a fast-paced, deadline-driven agency

Nice to have's

A love for game & interaction design for 3D and immersive tech

3D technical art skills, including basic modeling, texturing and animation of objects, characters and environments. Blender preferred

Proficient with web build tools like the npm ecosystem, node.js, Webpack, Gulp, etc

Understanding of networking and server architecture and Linux operating systems. Experience with Digital Ocean, AWS

Knowledge of integrating physical technology into Unity/web workflows

Bonus points for procedural animation or data visualization skills or a desire to learn these
